Waterlogic, a leading global designer, manufacturer, distributor and service provider of purified drinking water dispensers, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Swedish companies Waterconcept, Vattentornet Aqua Concilio and Thoreau International (hereafter described “Thoreau”), with the headquarters in Gothenburg, effective per January 1st, 2021.
Vattentornet Aqua Concilio, formed in 1996, and focuses mainly on provision of services to offices and workplaces in western Sweden, with some machines in field also placed in Stockholm, Östergötland and Skåne.
Waterconcept, formed in 2004, is focuses purely on the Horeca-market, with a strong brand recognition, alongside it’s equally trademarked and protected bottle shape.
Thoreau International, formed in 2018, works solely with a franchise solution for the Horeca-businesses outside Sweden, providing a product concept, alongside marketing support, knowledge base and brand recognition for quick and affordable start-ups.
The acquisition provides a joint platform for sales and service of water machines, towards both the office and Horeca sector. The acquisition will result in an additional 1000 MIF and the use of a highly valued concept brand name for Waterlogic Sverige.
With Thoreau welcomed into the Waterlogic family, we are now a distinguished market leader, providing Office and Horeca solutions for all levels of the businesses. From smaller offices, workplaces and receptions, to international and high-profile offices, hospitality and Horeca business.
Former Thoreau owner Jörgen Andersson says: "I have a strong belief in the expansion plan of the Thoreau concept, and the opportunity to merge with Waterlogic has been an important factor in enabling us to continue to expand the brand at international level and of course locally in Sweden.”
Mattias Källemyr, CEO Waterlogic Sverige AB, says: “We are excited to expand the Waterlogic offering for the Horeca sector, adding the well-respected brand of Thoreau to complete our already impressive hospitality concept - Purezza. We welcome the Thoreau employees to Waterlogic and wish them every success in our combined business.”
